Ashland Hot Yoga is a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community. We offer many different types of yoga to meet the variety of goals and needs our students bring to their mats. Our intention at Ashland Hot Yoga is to empower Southern Oregon’s yoga community through our classes and workshops.

All teachers are encouraged to bring their own unique style to each of their classes. No two teachers or classes are ever the same!
Hot 26 is a beginner level class created for total body health, done in a room heated to 105 degrees. This sequence is part of a larger series of postures in the Bishnu Gosh lineage. Hot 26 works to increase strength and flexibility in joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and bones, while also providing a cardiovascular workout. The spine and pelvis are targeted areas in all postures.
Every Hot 26 class offers the same postures every time. Witness the improvement in your strength and flexibility every time you take this class.
The benefits of these specific postures are plentiful!
• Improved Flexibility
Stretching after you warm up your muscles is safer than stretching cold muscles so, in a hot studio, it can make the yoga poses easier and more effective. It can also allow you to stretch a little further with a greater range of motion.
• Improved Blood Circulation
The increased circulation of fresh oxygenated blood this class will bring will nourish the internal organs, improve function of the heart, and detoxify organs of the body such as the liver and kidneys.
• Metabolism Boost
These postures will increase your pulse rate and metabolism, allowing your blood vessels to become more flexible and charges your body to burn a lot more calories than usual. This can lead to weight loss and a better functioning body!
According to researchers at Colorado State University, the calorie burn can be as high as 460 for men and 330 for women during a 90-minute Hot 26 yoga session.

During our practice we are in effect removing all toxicity from the body through our sweat, and are able to keep our body in a more pure, alkaline state that has been proven to ward off disease.

This class is appropriate for people of all ages, body types, and levels of experience, including those with injuries who are looking to heal the body.
Hot 26 Express
Hot 26 Express is the 60 minute version of the 90 minute Hot 26 class. In this class, each posture will be done at least one time. This class is great if you are short on time or if you are interested in the Hot 26 series but do not want to do the full 90 minute class. You will still reap the benefits of this series!
Hot 26 Silent
Hot 26 Silent is a silent version of the 90 minute Hot 26 class. The Hot 26 Silent class is recommended for those who have experience with the 26 series. This class is not recommended for those who have never taken a Hot 26 class before.
This class will offer little to no instruction.
Feel yourselves move together in harmony. Many describe this class as dancing together in beautiful unison.
Feel yourself connect deeper with each posture as you let your inner-knowing take over.
This class is a perfect introduction to the heat if you are a beginner!
This restorative class will leave you feeling refreshed and connected with your inner-self. This class will include gentle stretching and restorative postures. Focus on your breath as you flow through this class, leaving the outside world behind.
This is a still and chill practice with an emphasis on applying moderate stress to stretch the connective tissue, bones, tendons, fascia, and ligaments. Yin uses mindful muscle relaxation to challenge the body to surrender and the mind to open and relax. While some poses are challenging, this style is accessible to all levels and bodies. Most poses are done on the floor and held for 3-5 minutes allowing the connective tissue to release improving circulation, flexibility, and clearing the meridian channels. Yin, at it’s deepest, quietest, stillest moments, is a mental and emotional practice. This is the perfect balance to our fast-paced culture as it switches the nervous stem from fight or flight to rest and repair, deeply conditioning and nurturing our adrenals and other organs. If it’s difficult for you to destress, sit still, or meditate, this practice is for you!
Yin & Sound Healing
Self love is the basis of all transformations, frequency is how our souls evolve. This class is designed to create a union between body, mind, and spirit. Through restorative practices and harmonic sound waves, you can open yourself to a new vibration of being.
